Try a new outdoor activity. Now that the sweltering heat and humidity is beginning to yield to the cooler, much more bearable days of autumn, it’s the perfect opportunity to get outside and do something active that you have never done before or at least haven’t been able to do in while. Go for a walk or a jog on a wooded trail. Ride your bike on a less traveled road or trail. Try fly fishing in the nearest river, stream, or lake. Go rollerblading on the local bike trail. Play tennis with a friend you haven’t spent much time with in a while. Getting outdoors can provide that little bit of extra motivation that may have been eluding you during one of the hottest summers we have had in years. Do your body and your psyche a favor and venture out into a new season and a renewed sense of well-being.
