Michael Sallustio
CNC, CPFT, MES
Nutritional Consultant
& Personal Trainer
As one of the most sought-after nutritional consultants and personal trainers in the Annapolis area since 1996, Michael has been helping people to improve their health and quality of life through nutritional consulting, personal fitness training, and lifestyle coaching.
His talent for weeding through the plethora of media and misinformation in the health and wellness industry gives his clients the edge they need to break through barriers that have held them back from reaching their fitness and health goals in the past.
Background and Credentials
Michael has a real passion for his craft. In fact, he left a legal career after his health began to suffer and now lives what he teaches. Like any truly effective teacher, Michael considers himself a lifetime student of his craft, constantly keeping up with the latest advancements in the science and techniques of nutrition and fitness. He has multiple certifications and is constantly conducting research and taking continuing education courses.Michael has also taught seminars and workshops to both small groups and large corporations, taught courses on nutrition at the college level, and has authored several articles on holistic nutrition, lifestyle, and exercise philosophy. And before recently moving his home office to Evolutions Body Clinic, Michael was the Co-founder and President of In Good Health, Inc and Director of The Lifestyle Center of Annapolis in Maryland where one of his roles was a trainer of trainers.
Credentials
Michael is certified as a Holistic Nutritional Consultant through the American Association of Nutritional Consultants (AANC), and is a Ph.D. candidate in Holistic Nutrition from the Clayton College of Natural Medicine. He is a cerified Personal Fitness Trainer through the National Academy of Sport Medicine (NASM) and the American Council on Exercise (ACE), and a Medical Exercise Specialist (MES) through the American Academy of Health and Fitness Professional (AAHFP).
Personal
When not on the job, Michael enjoys spending time with his daughter. He prefers being outdoors mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking, backpacking, camping, and skiing. He also enjoys playing racquetball and watching movies.
Philosophy
“In the absence of good health, nothing else matters. That’s why my life’s mission is to help others reach optimum health and have fun getting there. Life’s too short to spend it feeling less than great every day. Health is not convenient. My job is to help you maximize your results while minimizing the time you spend in the gym. Plus, since there is so much conflicting information out there as to what’s good for us and what’s not, my other job is to sort through all of that and help you figure out what’s going to work best for you—to be your “wellness navigator”, if you will. I genuinely love what I do!”
